The non resolving suppurative contractitis.

 THE NON RESOLVING SUPPURATIVE CONTRACTITIS

Assalamualaikum wbt and hello dear readers.

Its been awhile yet again, now that I had lots and lots of free time thanks to MCO, I finally able to dig and found back my old blog. Alhamdulillah.

I considered myself quite lucky, was a fighter, best I can do was through blogging and medsoc, to fight for our fellow contract MO colleagues, fighting still, but on the other ground.

A bit of recap, to those non-medical readers out there. Contract medical officers were introduced back in 2016 during 6th PM reign, DS Najib Tun Razak, back then I already graduated and finished my 6 years long of medical school, patiently waiting for placement and position. Back then, it was well known that medical graduates had promising future ahead, with permanent positions in the government in their palms.

It was all back then. Yes, when talking about pasts, it was all nice and eargasms.

Shock, and we were shocked. The new policy introduced to give contract positions instead of permanent to medical officers, dental officers, and pharmacists. Many went rage, full of dissatisfaction, but what done is done, policy was introduced and straight away implemented.

Its been 5 years since then. What has changed? Lots and lots. Little bit improvements, but the term contract were sitting still.

Thanks to SCHOMOS, MMA for voicing out our opinions back then and now still, there were politicians involved as well, issue were raised in the parliament, known higher ups and medsoc doctors had took part, the government gives better grade 41 to 43 instead of contract 41 only.

Those contract 43 officers were best students during their school days, university days, mostly performed very well during the housemanship as well.

When the Covid-19 pandemics hit our country, they were the first to be sent as the vanguard, many were my friends, colleagues, giving out their time, energy for our country. We all know its our job, as those many who said "Its your job, why the complains?" Nobody, and nobody asked for COVID-19 people, nobody asked to work 30 days without offs, nobody asked to give away their souls to those ignorant, selfish, people who unwilling to obey the rules and causing harms to us.

I know deep down, we all need to be thankful, for still having jobs, while many has been unemployed, goes poverty everyday, mental breakdown, and we should not talk about who deserving what, while many has been struggling to feed their families everyday, while we still getting our paychecks every month.

However, we are talking about justice. Justice let me remind you, as many of those hireups seems had really no idea what it is. You put something at their proper place thats justice. Its not justice when you give similar heavy works among group of working people, but some had better pay, some had better privileges while others don`t. That is not justice. This is what we medical community is fighting for.

It such a great, great loss to our medical fraternity as long as this contract system is applied. Government as I know had try their best, and they stuck in between, but we are talking about future medical fraternity ahead, we will lose those great talents, who should have been future specialists. Trust me, whatever number you are giving, we still lacking of doctors, contract doctors cannot fill those empty seats, if there were actually no seats given at ALL!

Treating non suppurative contractitis now is actually not enough with changing and escalating higher antibiotics course, I think its time to prep for operation, go for I&D and whatnot, likewise, better grade alone is not sufficient, as long as the contract position is sitting still, no career advancement, no promising future ahead.

I really hope that one day, government policy is changed, permanent positions are given.

Please, don`t let they all go into waste.
